Ad Infinitum . by William Fripp. (24) $ There is a thread that runs through this universe and the myriad universes that make up the multiverse, a commonality of spirit that connects each of the infinite spheres of time at the quantum core - humanity. William Fripp has surprised the literary community with the publishing of his unique and imaginative stories, Ad Infinitum and Ad Perpetuam, following three regular folk who are hunting an ancient evil that jumps through time and bodies alike. Far from being a dead language, Latin is very much alive in our day-to-day conversations. Carpe diem, et cetera, cum laude, curriculum vitae and mea culpa are just a few of the Latin phrases still widely used today. It's unclear whether Latin made a comeback or it has been this cool for hundreds of years.

Ad Infinitum is a story of mystical conflict between two sentient cosmic forces; the Sojourners, working to elevate the human race through an eternal process of reincarnation, and the Wayward (ruled by the Other), intent on turning human souls into slaves for its own ends. The idea is intriguing and the imagery is superb. Fripp has written characters that are engaging and has crafted a villain that grips you by the throat and refuses to let you go until the book is finished. Ad Infinitum is a retelling of the basic core mythos of Christianity; where instead of Christ or Angels we have the Sojourners. They are an ancient entity that seeds life across the universe – until the one known as The Other becomes a dark and twisted force of evil. In Ad Infinitum, that’s precisely the kind of enemy William Fripp pits us against. More precisely, we are introduced to Walter Canavaugh, a man who decides to take his own life, but in doing so sets a destructive chain of events in motion.
